Concerts at Kosciuszko
CPI is please to collaborate with the Kosciuzko Foundation for the 2010-2011 concert season!
One of New York City's architectural treasures - the Kosciuszko Foundation Townhouse, the former Van Allen family home - offers an elegant and intimate setting for cultural, corporate, and private affairs. Located at the easily accessible and exclusive heart of the Upper East Side of Manhattan, the Kosciuszko Foundation town house offers three elegant public rooms suitable for events from cocktails to elegant sit-down dinners, concerts, seminars, and receptions of every kind. The Kosciuszko Foundation House offers a uniquely romantic setting for weddings, which can be dressed and decorated to the couple's choice. The beautiful facilities offer a perfect background for photo shoots and have been used as sets in various films and television programs.
The building was designed by Harry Allan Jacobs and built in 1917. Its prototype is located in St. James Square in London and was the childhood home of England's late Queen Mother. It is an interpretation of the Renaissance style harkening to the simpler lines of classical architecture. It is graced with a light but functional stairway that unifies the public rooms of the town house in a unique manner. The scale, plaster work decoration, oak paneling, delicate marble fireplaces and finely proportioned windows make a memorable and even monumental impression within the confines of modest footage.
